Travel and Tourism Scholarships

Each spring, the Nebraska Admirals Association awards scholarships, through an application, interview and essay submission process, to students with junior status in the Travel & Tourism & Hospitality Management program at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln or minoring in Travel and Tourism at Wayne State College.  Students must be U.S. Citizens.  The Scholarship Program currently offers two or three$2000 Scholarships. Money for the scholarships comes mainly from member donations. The number of scholarships offered depends on available funds. So, please send your check or use the "donate" button at the bottom of the page. Since 1992, fifty-five scholarships have been awarded.

The project provides the public an opportunity to create a handmade ornament to send to a sailor, a soldier, or a veteran. Ornaments are made and then sent to the crew of the U.S.S. Nebraska, USS Omha and veterans who are residents of State Veterans Homes.
